In the depths of our hearts, we come to a profound realization that it is only through knowing Christ as our personal savior and Lord that we truly understand that we have not chosen Him, but rather, He has chosen us. It is not within our own capacity to bestow upon ourselves the ability to know Him. It is not by virtue of our own strength or intellect that He grants us the privilege of knowing Him, but rather, it is through His divine power to reveal Himself to us and enable us to truly know Him. This, my friends, is the essence of faith a gift bestowed upon us by God Himself.

Allow me to present this truth in a different light. When we come to know God through Christ, we do not boast in our own powers of intuition or self-discovery. We do not pat ourselves on the back for being able to perceive that there is more to Jesus than what meets the eye. No, quite the contrary, we humbly acknowledge that our knowledge of God in Christ is not attained through our own strength, but rather, it is through the power of God working within us.

The Scriptures affirm this truth in Ephesians 2:8-9, which states, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast." We are reminded that our salvation, our knowledge of God, is not a result of our own efforts or abilities, but rather, it is a gift freely given by God Himself.

Let us therefore approach our relationship with God with a heart of gratitude and humility, recognizing that it is His power and His grace that enables us to know Him. May we never forget that faith itself is a precious gift from God, and it is through this gift that we are able to truly know and experience the depth of His love and presence in our lives.
